Started with copywriting in 2022, levelled up on demand, and ended up owning the full production pipeline for brands thinking about the future.
Podcasts and content creation is how I started exploring the video space since 2022. I learnt copywriting to begin with, then graphic design. There’s no course or anything. I started reaching out to brands, doing small gigs, and that’s how I learnt on a demand basis, levelling up the skill from each project.
Then I got into editing video, doing motion graphics, then started getting into the production process. Before I knew it, I was into everything that’s part of a production pipeline.
We worked with real estate brands who are into tokenization of properties and fractional ownership. Basically brands who are thinking about real estate in 2030 or 2040. The content had to reflect that forward-thinking vision, not just sell square footage.
While most of the clientele is in real estate, there’s a percentage of clients in other sectors like furniture and cosmetics.
Somewhere in between all of this, I got obsessed with one question: why does some content travel and some doesn’t? I spent a lot of time studying this. Not from a course, not from a guru. Just watching, testing, failing, and watching again.
What I found is that virality is not luck. It’s engineering with taste. The hook matters more than people think. The first two seconds decide everything. People don’t share content they like, they share content that makes them feel something, or makes them look smart for sharing it. That’s the gap most brands miss.
Production quality is a myth at a certain level. I’ve seen a shaky phone video with the right idea outperform a beautifully produced corporate video nobody cared about. The algorithm isn’t the enemy. It’s just a mirror. It reflects back what people actually respond to, not what brands think people respond to.
That whole phase taught me more about human psychology than any film school could. And it directly shaped how I think about storytelling now, whether it’s a 60-second ad film or a 5-minute short.
