Leave Elara Alone

Overview

When the Film Contest started, I wrote this beautiful story of a daughter and a father from the future. I fell in love with the script and the characters. The duration is around 5-6 minutes, but according to the contest rules, it should be a maximum of 2 minutes.

I didn’t wanna shrink it down just to win. I could’ve done that but NO, that’s not fun for me. I submitted with a quirky ending and it WORKED. The jury made a great decision by putting this at Top 4th. The entire crowd and every participant loved how it ended. It was a wholesome moment.

Process

This whole film, the part submitted for the contest, was done within 8 hours. From scripting to generating, editing, and sound, everything in one sitting.

Result

Won the contest. Won the crowd. The storyline connected with everyone in the room. I am now working on this film full time, planned to screen end of March 2026.
